Located on the plateau overlooking the dunes right bank of the Clain, the tomb was built in the heart of a large necropolis of the ancient city of Lemonum, the dolmen of "Peter lifted" seems to have served as a limit to the cemetery extended along the Roman road from Bourges. Deeds and oral tradition have kept the memory of a field "Chiron martyr" and a "path of the martyrs." In exploring the necropolis in 1878 that Father C. La Croix brought to light the building with exceptional sculptures and inscriptions Christian Late Antiquity and Middle Ages. Archaeological site open to the public for an indefinite period for the restoration work directed by the Department of Historical Monuments.
