23600 TOULX SAINTE-CROIX
On Mount Barlot, 600m above sea level, rise forty stunning granite blocks.
The site, listed for nearly 80 years, is typical because virgin and rare.
Virgin nature is all right. The vegetation has taken possession. The forest forms a backdrop. No roads or power lines or buildings may be disrupted scheduling Stones.
Rare, because there are many other places in France where there are rocks ruiniform, but none have the characteristic of its granite blocks laid on top of a hill, overlooking the surrounding land.
The origin of their name comes from Stones to Matras and the flask goddesses, mothers Gallo-Roman later became the fairies.
