30000 NÎMES
The Temple of Diana was part of the Roman sanctuary of the Source, a group of buildings near the fountain, whose substructures were discovered around 1739, during the work undertaken around the Source. As it stands, it consists only of a nave vaulted, and two side aisles, one, the Southeast, is nearly destroyed. By 1570, the Venetian architect Palladio during his stay in Nimes made many sketches before a fire does its current appearance in the Temple of Diana.
