74500 EVIAN LES BAINS

Lake Geneva or Lake Geneva is a lake in Western Europe. His name, probably of Celtic origin, has survived through Latin. He often varied over time: Lemanus lacus, or Lake Geneva, and finally Geneva.

Crescent-shaped (or comma), the north shore and the two ends are Swiss, the south shore is French. The border runs through the middle of the lake.

Lake Geneva is crossed from east to west by the Rhone. His training has many root causes: tectonic fold for the part of Grand Lake and action of the Rhone Glacier to Little Lake (between Geneva and Yvoire). It was formed upon removal of the Rhone glacier after the last ice age, there are nearly 15,000 years.
