Covering an area of 15 hectares, this artificial lake is fed by the river and the river Kerbizien of Fao, dug by the German miners in the 2nd part of the sixteenth century to the needs of the silver-lead mine Locmaria-Berrien.
The junction between the lake and the mine was only completed in the eighteenth century when the canal was built.
You can go around the lake in 1 hour.
Among the species living on the lake, you can see mallards, swans, moorhens, herons, cormorants and gulls.
Different fish species may be fished in the lake: carp, pike, perch, roach and tench.
The river fishing enthusiasts can access the sites on an exceptional territory relatively preserved.
