In 1907 the monastery was bought by a company that organizes a hotel with great difficulty, the 1914 war does not give long-term: the Certosa remains to be abandoned ... In 1922, the Bishop of Annecy, Mgrde the Villerabel asks the Prioress of the Caramel of Paray Monial, Mother Mary of Jesus (di Rudini) to take over with her daughters in prayer. It will take years of work to repair, adjust and even adapt, transform the monastery in Caramel.
