The Cathedral of Saint-André de Bordeaux is a place of worship, the largest of Bordeaux. It was consecrated in 1096 by Pope Urban II. It was rebuilt in the Gothic style from the twelfth to sixteenth centuries. In this church was celebrated in 1137, the marriage of Eleanor of Aquitaine, who was then fifteen years, with the future Louis VII, King of the Franks.
