Cistercian monks founded in the twelfth century one of the great abbeys of west-central France. Unfortunately it suffered the assaults of the English and the ravages of the wars of religion.
The stones were then largely recovered for the construction of the Fort Pree. What remains is nevertheless sufficient to dream of its splendors.
You can have free access to the Abbey or enjoy the explanations of a guide during a visit organized by La Maison du Platin.
