In Bessines: a church of Romanesque origin built in the 11th and 12th centuries, two gothic bridges over the Gartempe, a huge stone basin called the "Pierre-Belle", the ruined 15th-century château des Monismes, the birthplace of Suzanne Valadon, mother of painter Maurice Utrillo, vestiges of the manor of the Croix du Breuil, now a hotel, a 12th-century church in Morterolles.
