10 minutes from Rochefort where the Corderie Royale, the Hermione, the Maritime Museum and the Transporter Bridge can be visited. The islands of Aix and Ré are not very far either for a day trip.
For lovers of history and heritage, the cities of Saintes and Cognac are accessible in 30 min and 1 h.
