Heated poolLocated in the beautiful Dordogne, five kilometers from the pretty market town of Lalinde and just half an hour's drive from Bergerac airport, Les Voyelles is a tranquil adults-only retreat.
This is the perfect place to relax, unwind, explore and enjoy. Nestled in privacy, you have the choice between two luxury self catering holiday cottages.
Cawsand Cottage, where rustic charm meets Parisian style is a stunning two bedroom cottage, with en-suite bathrooms, large living space and private outdoor space. Bedroom one situated on the first floor with its distinctive oak beamed vaulted ceiling is beautifully furnished, has a king bed, and is air conditioned. The en-suite has a shower and separate bath. Bedroom two on the ground floor with door opening onto the terrace is cool and spacious, has a super king bed (which can be separated into two singles if required) and en-suite with large walk in shower.
The outdoor terrace is the perfect space to enjoy breakfast in the morning sun or bbq and relax with a glass of wine.
The heated swimming pool, with its large terrace and covered seating area, has views over the garden and fields beyond. Sunsets accompanied by a glass of wine are one of the favorites in the evening down by the pool.
The town of Lalinde situated on the Dordogne river about 20km east of Bergerac, is an English bastide town founded in 1261. There is a market every Thursday morning filled with fresh local produce. Market days are always a very social occasion, there are plenty of places to enjoy a coffee or a meal and a glass of wine.
Lalinde has the Dordogne river on one side and a pretty canal on the other. The canal built over 150 years ago runs between Mauzac and Tulieres, and is a great place for walking, cycling and fishing.
Lalinde also has a railway station with connections to Bordeaux, Bergerac, St Emillion, and Sarlat-la-Caneda.
