Gite Le Maître - Gites À l'École

On the edge of Saint-Auvent, on a plot of 4000 m², is housed the old village school.

After three years of renovation, we transformed it for our dwelling house.
The adjoining outbuildings have been converted into two gîtes, three guest rooms, a common dining room and annexes.

The village of Saint-Auvent:
A few minutes walk from the school, in the village, you will find the restaurant-bar "L'Auberge de la Vallée de la Gorre", a grocery store with bread and pastries.
A country house documents you about tourist activities, events and traditions Limousin and Occitan.

At a distance of 14 km is the town of Saint-Junien with a large street and small shopping streets, an indoor pool, a cinema, large supermarkets and a Tourist Office.
This once glamorous city of leather glove, offers you some good tables where you can discover its meat, limo race world famous. Every Saturday a small market settles and encircles the old halls of these local products.

At about ten kilometers, Rochechouart, called the city of the cannon is endowed with a pretty small center with shops, some average food surfaces, a flea market and a castle museum departmental of contemporary art.

Route from PARIS to ST AUVENT

> Near Paris follow direction Bordeaux/Orléans.
> approximately 70 km after Paris (near Orléans) take the exit to the A71
(direction Vierzon/Toulouse/Orléans-centre/Clermont-Ft).
> On the A71, near Vierzon, take the exit to the A20 (direction Toulouse/Limoges/Chateauroux).
> On the A20 take exit 28 direction Angoulême/Perigueux.
> 1st roundabout 2nd turn-off (direction Angoulême/Perigueux).
> 2nd roundabout 2nd turn-off (direction Angoulême/Perigueux).
> 3rd roundabout (after ± 13 km) 2nd turn-off (D2000 direction Aixe sur Vienne/ Perigueux).
> 4th roundabout 2nd turn-off (direction Aixe sur Vienne/Perigueux).
> 5th roundabout (after ± 5 km) 1st turn-off (D10 direction Rochechouart/
St Junien/Cognac la Forèt.
> After approximately 20 km there is a left turn, immediately followed by a small stone bridge. After this bridge turn left (direction St Auvent).
> After 1,5 km you arrive in St Auvent.
> As soon as the high stone wall on your left hand makes a left turn, go straight. You’ll see our school building on your right hand … BIENVENUE !
